How To Use the Topeak Road Morph G Pump
I recently bought a used Trek and it came with several accessories, this particular pump being one of them. Your tutorial was spot on and tremendously helpful. Thank you for sharing this video with us!
You're welcome! Glad you found it helpful!
Thank you, Scott!

Thank you! I jumped in Mark and Lynn’s bandwagon in 2020, donating a kidney in December 2021 and buying a Specialized Diverge at the Hostel Shoppe a few months later.
You're welcome! Thanks for your support and your generosity!
Great explanation
Thank you! Glad you found it helpful.
I’m new to presta valves. This was so super helpful! Thank you, thank you, thank you! You’re awesome.
You're welcome! Glad you found it helpful.
I found the answer to my questions here, without having to listen to a 20 minute video. Thanks 🙏🏽
You're welcome!
The interview is very good but that loud music is very distracting and made it difficult for me to watch the whole video.
Thank you for the feedback. We appreciate knowing what people think!
8 years later and this video is still helping people. Was just the video that told me everything I need. Thank you much
It's definitely a hit! Our most popular video!
thanks
You're welcome.
I hate the presta valves on my giant bike the threads on top of valve are way to weak and thin and always break off. They never hold air like the old schraders do next time one of my presta valves break i will take both rims of drill them out and fit tubes with schrader valves the prestas are junk !
I have had other customers drill their rims out. Be sure to get out any metal shavings prior to re-installing tubes.
Really helpful - thank you!
You're welcome!
Do you ship internationally? Do you stock the Maxarya recumbent brand
Hi, we do ship internationally, but need you to email us a list of what you want to shipping@hostelshoppe.com, along with your address, so we can get you a quote. Bikes and trikes are harder to ship internationally, but accessories are easier. We do not carry Maxarya.

Hi Scott - I love it! Can't find it on your site, and not even on the Cateye site. Are they available? Would like to order one - can you help?
Hi Brad, Cateye discontinued those lights, but we do carry a comparable assortment (some are out of stock, but we will be getting more in). The first is the Cygolite Hotrod hostelshoppe.com/collections/lights/products/cygolite-hotrod-usb-50-rechargeable-taillight, the second options are the Serfas Thunderbolt Front and Rear hostelshoppe.com/search?q=serfas+thunderbolt. I will have to replace this video! Cheers, Jessie, Marketing Manager
Thank you for the quick reply, Jessie! @@hostelshoppe
How do you deal with presta tubes with non threaded stems? When you try to attach the pump head with the tube inside the rim there is no nut to hold stem in place.
We would recommend getting a tube with threads. There are lots of brands on the market, but we do not have any smooth ones.
With that dismal size selection, why bother¿
We can order other sizes from Schwalbe for you www.schwalbetires.com/Marathon-Plus-11100756. Here is an updated link to our site hostelshoppe.com/search?q=marathon+plus .
Two questions; Does the roller cause premature tyre wear? Should I get a cheap training tyre? Also could one use a regular mag type or fan resistance trainer on a trike?
Hi Mark, Yes, the roller or any trainer can cause more wear on the tire, so it is good to have a dedicated "trainer tire" with a smooth tread. Keep your regular tire for regular riding. If you have a 26" or 700c rear wheel with a quick release skewer, you can use regular trainers from Saris or Wahoo. If you have a thru-axle, you will need an adapter. 20" wheels would work best on the rollers. We have select trainers on sale at hostelshoppe.com/collections/stationary-trainers-rollers?page=1&grid_list=grid-view . Today is the last day of the sale.
@@hostelshoppe thank you for the reply. I do have a 700c wheel. i found a second hand roller locally I planned to purchase but it sounds as if the fluid trainer will work better. I’ll go that route. thank’s again.

Great video, I couldn't figure it out but you showed how it's done regarding the Presta/Schraeder switch up
Glad you found it helpful!
Good video. Simple and well explained. Plus I think you’ve answered my questions about fishtailing or pedal sway. I definitely need to work on my back stroke. Am I correct in thinking the 110 trainer would be the better one to get? I’m a fairly strong rider, but have a definite muscle imbalance. My quads are much stronger than my hamstrings. Any input will be greatly appreciated.
Glad you found it helpful!
@@hostelshoppeI’m new to riding trikes, age and old juries coming back to haunt me has made riding a Diamond framed bike impossible for me. I thought I was done biking for good. Then I tired a recumbent trike. I recently acquired a Catrike Dumont, major game changer, the fun is back with cycling. But my days for riding outdoors are numbered, winter is coming. So I’m looking for a trainer. I’m currently riding 20 miles comfortably, average about 16mph. I can push the trike up to 24.8mph but only for something close to a mile. And that was with a tailwind. I’ve do get a lot of pedal sway, from watching your video, it’s because I’m pushing, which is somewhat surprising to me because I’ve always been a spinner on a regular bike. Or at least I use to be. Anyway, with this knowledge, should get the 100 or the 110 trainer. I’m leaning toward the 110 with the idea of improving muscle tone and balance during the winter months. Or would I be better off with the lighter resistance of the 100? And thank you in advance.
@@jamesmchugo9422 I would recommend the Double Overdrive as it gives a more realistic road-like feel. And you can run it in high resistance or flip it around for lower to more moderate resistance. hostelshoppe.com/collections/stationary-trainers-rollers/products/sportcrafters-trike-trainer-double-overdrive?_pos=1&_fid=271c952bd&_ss=c

@@hostelshoppe Excellent! Im gonna do that tomorrow. Today i'm too exhausted browsing countless pages and videos concerning tandem-trike. Oh, i almost forgot. I'm trying to modify my Sun EZ-3 USX HD to drive with differential. Without it i feel less as i cannot climb small obstacles without electric motor assistance. Samagaga is the place to plant that i think. The problem is that both my Sunseekers USX-AX and EZ-3 USX HD trike have cambered axle. So, it requires universal joint to connect those axles. Have you met anyone trying or who have done that?
@@AmiApache I am sorry, but I do not know of anyone who has done that.
@@hostelshoppe So... I'll will be the first! I will do it!
I'm curious about how the fork rotates in that clamp. For instance if you enter a street from a driveway crossing a gutter. The front tire and the trailing trikes ready tires are going to be at a hire elevation than the front trikes rear tires. Somehow the front fork has to allow for that. How is this accomplished?
Thanks I ordered a tube and ended up getting a Presta tube I had no idea what it was
You're welcome!
What a great opportunity! Those tickets will sell out fast! Bought one.
Glad to hear, best of luck!! 🤞
Thanks for supporting the fund raiser for Spokes Fighting Strokes!
I’m curious about the antenna?? I’m an amateur radio operator/HAM. Is that an amateur radio ant?? I also ride recumbent trikes up here in Canada 🇨🇦
@@jerrydaminato743 It is an LED flag pole that lights up at night and makes you more visible. We don't sell them, but you can order them online.
What about this tire with tannus armour and slime then its bullet proof maybe
You can certainly try that! You can even use Thornproof tubes. It may make it a bit harder to install the tires, since they can be quite stiff getting them over the rim, but a Kool Stop Tire Bead Jack would help with that. hostelshoppe.com/collections/tube-tire-maintenance/products/kool-stop-tire-bead-jack
I mounted my fender on a scorpion which had slightly different mounting points than the Gekko but I was able to make it work anyway.
Glad the directions helped!
Would like to see a video on how to install the front fenders on the gekko 26
Hi Steve, We will add it to our marketing To Do list!
I wish I had this video when I installed the fender kit I got from you for my 2019 gekko 26....put i have a rear rack and the front stay holes are also used by my rear rack. How do you do the install with the rear rack?
Hi Steve, The fender stays go next to the frame and the rack goes to the outside of the fender stay. You need to replace the shorter bolts with longer ones to accommodate both rack and fender stay.
Very good video, thanks.
You're welcome!
Why was the Tryker tire doscontinued?
Schwalbe makes such a wide variety of tires that can be used on trikes, like the Marathon, Marathon Plus, Kojak and more. My guess is that it didn't sell as well as some of their other models.
Thanks. Great explanations. I just bought a new bike and was surprised to discover the new bike has Presta valves. My wife's new bike has the old Shrader valves. We're a mixed marriage. Ha ha. I'll be buying adapters for my new bike to accommodate my tire pump, which is Shrader only.
Glad you found the video helpful!
Audio blows, no pun intended.
Sorry, we have mics now and will be redoing some of our videos.
This is so good to hear. I haven't been to the rally since Rolf and Barb moved on. It will be good to return and for a great cause.
We look forward to having you here!
Thanks so much 👍👍Great job 👍
You're welcome!
still wondering if a foldable trike counts as a foldable bike and can be transported in trains for free. 🤔
You should check with the train company you are traveling on. I know that in Europe it is more common and doable. Not sure about the USA.
Do you have a 2022 playlist?
Unfortunately, we do not. Hopefully, we will have one for 2023!
Will that skewer with the velcro scratch the frame when it's folded? Metal pressed against metal.
There is a protective film on the frame to prevent this.
Are they Radical Design bananas waterproof..? that is important on a tour..
The Cordura is not waterproof, but Radical Design makes waterproof liners for all of their pannier bags www.radicaldesign.com/banana-liners-pair that we can order for riders that want to tour. We will be stocking the Banana Racer liner soon.
@@hostelshoppe Wow.. that little liner adds about $50 to a pair of panniers that are already $235... And the link you sent is not the same as your website. the Banana on your website doesn't say weather it is a S? M? or L? size.. So what liner size..? It would be so much easier to order to Ortlieb PackRack small and uses ties to mount them on the back of the seat.. And I would know that my stuff would stay dry... Radical Design looks great, but when it comes to brass tacks.. they are not water proof, they are not as durable as the Ortlieb.. and the reputation is not that of Ortlieb.. Sorry, i'm not sold on the idea of having to carry a liner (that i could possibly loose and risk getting my tour gear completely wet. I'm disappointed in Radical Design.. They could have simply made them out of a waterproof Cordura fabric.. The cost is about the same.. Wow they dropped the ball..
@@rdkuless Hi Rob, The link was to Radical Designs site, as I don't have the product in stock yet. They make four sizes of liners: Racer, Small, Medium and Large to match the four sizes of their pannier bags. Synthetic CORDURA-which does not retain water as does natural cotton-can be chemically treated to endow it with water-repellency and other beneficial properties. I also did a bit more research and it does have a PU coating which gives it water repellency, and we have found the bags to be very durable. What kind of trike are you using? I can recommend some other bags that might work. Are you using a rear rack? We stock Ortlieb as well.
@@hostelshoppe I'm trying to complete my touring setup..I don't want to worry about carrying extra liners to make cycling panniers that should already be waterproof.. LOL I already have a custom Surly Nitto rack equipped with a Racktime Snapit adapter on top for my Waterproof Racktime trunk bag.. I use Arkel 30's or 45 Orcas... on my AZUB T-Tris. Maybe i should just forget about the convenience of the pod style bags, and go 100% waterproof. The worst thing on a long transcontinental tour is to get to camp with all wet gear. Do you carry the Double Azub racks.. And how much are they. That way i have room for both the 30 and 45's Orcas on my rack?
@@rdkuless The T-Tris only will work with Azub's Rack-Time rack and their lowrider rack azub.eu/recumbent-bikes-and-trikes/trikes/26-wheels/t-tris/accessories/ . The double rack and king rack are not options for the T-Tris. I can special order the lowrider rack for you. Will that work with your Orca bags?
